- To have overall responsibility for the operational management of service delivery of Iceni Centre and East Anglian Simulation Training Centre
- To promote high standards of professional practice and the delivery of education within the corporate policies, protocols and guidelines.
- To provide clinical and managerial leadership to all staff within East Anglian Simulation & Training Centre and Iceni centre
- Act as an ambassador for the Trust, ensuring the positive development of the Trust brand, championing the Trust's values and ensuring the recognition of the Trust in providing exceptional healthcare for patients
- Ensure the delivery of high quality training that is in line with learning objectives set out by faculty, Trust, Multidisciplinary school or NHSE.
- Meet the needs of the Trust with regard to Induction, mandatory and statutory training
- To deliver an efficient and effective service through efficient management of staff.
- To support both centres in the achievement of its financial performance and operational objectives, ensuring workforce, accommodation and equipment resources are optimised.
- To undertake projects as required
- Act as a champion for operational effectiveness and quality
- Registered professional with experience at band 6
- Uses evidence based practice to support delivery of service
- Evidence of implementing significant changes or service developments that promote good practice
- Experience leading teams
- Experience working in an acute clinical environment
- Evidence of multidisciplinary teaching in an informal setting
- Experience of communicating with a range of people both within and external to the organisation
- Ability to manage resources/budgets
- Experience in working with key stakeholders
- Leadership course
- Evidence of teaching/assessing
- Interviewing recruitment skills
- Ability to manage resources/budgets
- Evidence of experience of providing clinical care to individuals with critical and complex care needs
- Registered clinical Practitioner with current professional registration ( NMC/ HCPC)
- Teaching / mentorship qualification
- Relevant degree or working towards
- Evidence of continuing education
- Advanced Life Support provider / other course of similar calibre
- Willingness to undertake further academic study
- Knowledge of current Trust wide and Department of Health initiatives
- Knowledge of shared Governance and risk management
- Demonstrates ability to influence and manage successfully
- Knowledge of the education and training regime for the health service, and the training needs of healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of curriculum development, the development of training, an understanding of the needs of learners and audiences, and of the emerging marketing channels to secure their interest
- Knowledge & understanding of Health & Safety and Risk Assessments,
- Sound evidence of clinical ability
- General understanding of clinical work, its related terminology and the skills needs within an NHS trust
- Knowledge of financial processes e.g. purchase orders and invoicing
- An understanding of the needs of sponsors, particularly industry sponsors
- Registered professional with experience at band 6
