
Mechanic Instructor/Teacher

- Monday – Friday: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
- Teach and guide students through practical and theoretical aspects of motor vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.
- Deliver lessons on various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Support and encourage students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, helping them overcome challenges and succeed in their learning.
- Create and maintain a positive learning environment tailored to individual student needs.
- Assess and monitor student progress, offering constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods where necessary.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being and development of each student.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with motor vehicle mechanics, including repair and diagnostic processes.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs is essential.
- Strong communication and patience in delivering complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
- A passion for teaching and mentoring young people to develop their mechanical skills.
- City & Guilds (C&G) qualifications or experience is highly desirable.
- Previous teaching or training experience is a plus but not essential; those with relevant mechanical expertise and the ability to engage students are encouraged to apply.
- An adult and child DBS on the update service.
