As the head of Microbiology, you will be responsible for ensuring the sterility, safety and compliance of products, leading the microbiological testing teams and developing contamination control & compliance strategies for sterile medicines manufacturing.The Role:As the head of manufacturing you will be leading, mentoring & developing the Microbiology team - driving continuous improvement and a culture of excellence. Key duties will include:
  • Oversight of all microbiological operations; Testing, Identification, environmental monitoring.
  • Monitor & review all testing protocols to ensure the integrity & sterility of products.
  • Oversee the validation of all aseptic processes.
  • Be the point of escalation for any OOS / Deviations and lead investigations relating to microbiological contamination.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, supporting manufacturing processes, product development, validation studies and customer audits.
Required:
  • A degree or higher qualification/ equivalent experience in microbiology or a relevant similar field.
  • Proven experience of leadership in a GMP environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience overseeing quality management systems, such as GMP, HACCP, CATO, and ISO.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to microbiology.
  • Proficient in using microbiological testing equipment and software.
