Manufacturing Cell Operator (CNC/Tooling)
Location: Outskirts of Maidstone - own transport essential due to location)
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 + Benefits
Hours: 40 per week, Monday – Friday
(Initial training period 07:00–16:00 or 08:00–17:00, moving to 09:00–18:00)We’re recruiting for a skilled Manufacturing Cell Operator to support production in a leading manufacturing environment. Working closely with the Cold Forging Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for running a dedicated manufacturing cell, ensuring efficiency, quality, and reliability across all processes.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in CNC machining, toolmaking, or metalworking processes who wants to build on their skills and gain further training in forging technologies.The role:
  • Run and monitor production jobs within the manufacturing cell.
  • Carry out tool setting/changeovers and first-line maintenance.
  • Perform regular checks on consumables and equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Maintain product quality through inspections and accurate measuring.
  • Support continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Work as part of a team to meet production KPIs and customer demand.
What we’re looking for:
  • Prior experience with CNC machinery, toolmaking, or metalworking processes.
  • Knowledge or exposure to forging/cold forming processes is desirable but not essential.
  • Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges).
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
