
Stop Smoking Advisor (Mobile Clinic Unit Driver)

- Relevant experience in a health or sales promotion environment.
- Experience of working with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines and targets
- Ability to work weekends regularly and evenings occasionally or regularly.
- Flexibility to work across Oxfordshire
- Speak, write and read English clearly and fluently
- Motivated and friendly individual with the ability to communicate to all people in the community
- Must be non-smoker
- Relevant IT Skills
- Educated to degree level or equivalent with relevant knowledge/experience in a health promotion environment.
- Experience in smoking cessation advice or equivalent health improvement environment.
- Knowledge of the problems faced by socially disadvantaged sectors of the community.
- Familiarity of local areas
- Knowledge of Stop Smoking and tobacco control policies.
- Experience of understanding evaluation and monitoring
- Knowledge of behaviour change models.
- Smoking cessation qualification NCSCT.
- Speak different languages (Polish, Urdu, Spanish, Arabic or other)
- Experience of driving a van or bigger vehicles
- Relevant IT skills-proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
- Be able to work under pressure and multi-task
- Passion for helping people to make positive changes
- Empathetic towards others thoughts and feelings
- Proactive in starting discussions around stopping smoking
