- Lead the Pre-Construction phase across our Public Sector project portfolio.
- Manage a team of Project Managers and Project Support Officers, working closely with Account Managers.
- Ensure the Sitetracker project management platform is continuously updated and used effectively as a live reporting tool.
- Oversee project feasibility, confirming all technical, financial, and regulatory requirements are met.
- Coordinate project designs with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with budget and operational needs.
- Engage with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, local authorities, and regulatory bodies, to secure approvals and permits.
- Identify and manage pre-construction risks; monitor budgets and provide cost assurance prior to handover.
- Develop and manage pre-construction programmes, ensuring milestones are met (e.g., surveys, designs, planning approvals, procurement).
- Support procurement strategies, define scopes of work, and assist with early contractor involvement
- Ensure full regulatory compliance, including planning, environmental, and health & safety standards
- Deliver a risk-mitigated and fully documented project package to the Construction Team.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects, with a strong emphasis on Pre-Construction phases.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator across all levels
- Proficient in project management platforms such as Sitetracker (or similar) — experience improving PM tools is a plus.
- Strong programme planning and risk management capabilities.
- Experience within the Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure industry is highly desirable.
- Experience working with local authorities and understanding of public sector procurement is beneficial.
- A technical, construction management, or engineering background is advantageous.
- A formal Project Management qualification (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, APM) is desirable but not essential.
