Clinicians in the Emergency Department treat patients with life threatening, urgent and emergency conditions along with illnesses and injuries in all age groups.The Emergency Department at UCLH cared for 148,000 patients last year, making it one of the busiest Emergency Departments in London. Over 74,000 of these patients were treated in the Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC).Main duties of the jobWith an increasing demand for urgent and emergency care we are seeking to expand and develop our Emergency Nurse Practitioner workforce and would welcome applications from Emergency Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedic Practitioners and Advanced Clinical Practitioners to join our clinical team in the Urgent Treatment Centre.As a clinician within the Urgent Treatment Centre you will work as an independent, autonomous practitioner providing consistent high quality, evidence based, timely, patient centred care.   • Registered Level 1 Nurse with the NMC or
  • HCPC Registered Paramedic or
  • HCPC Registered Physiotherapist
  • Minor Injuries qualification accredited at level 6 or above.
  • Advanced Physical Assessment qualification at level 6 or above.
  • X Ray interpretation (IRMER).
  • Interpretation of images (Red Dot Course).
Desirable
  • Mentorship qualification.
  • Independent Non Medical Prescriber.
  • Management/ Leadership qualification.
  • Evidence of continuing professional education and training at Masters level.
  • MSc Advanced Practice.
