- Project Design Management – Civil/Infrastructure
- Drainage Design (FRA, Layout, Hydraulic Calculations)
- Highway (Planning, Local Authority and Highway Authority)
- Levels (Cut & Fill, Retaining Walls, Boundary Constraints)
- S278, S38, other Associated Agreements with Local Authorities
- Construction Specifications
- Risk Assessments
- Site Queries at Construction Stage
- Ensure that designs and engineering solutions produced are of good quality, comply with current design and construction standards, applicable to legislation and client expectations; and are delivered within the agreed timescales.
- Commercially lead selected projects and to employ appropriate control measures to ensure that fees are managed and invoiced accurately and to capture change to maximise our commercial position and protect the business against overspend.
- Develop good working relationships with clients.
- Deliver and help other members of staff to deliver a first-class service which meets legal guidelines and health & safety requirements.
- Participate in the development of the office.
- Develop contact with clients, planning consultants, architects, project managers, services engineers and all other associated professionals.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies, standards and policies.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to develop excellent business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and co-ordinate the Civil engineering requirements of projects with clients, architects, project managers and other professional team colleagues.
- Actively pursue your professional development leading to a professional qualification such as CEng, MICE
- Establish scope of works, client expectations and agreement of project deliverables and timescales.
