Supply 1:1 Tutors (Core Subject Areas) Job descriptionSupply One-to-One Tutors are required to ensure East Riding Supply Service has access to high quality, flexible, committed tutors who can offer 1:1 tuition to identified children or young persons within this area. These students are out of formal education for a wide range of extenuating circumstances, such as permanent exclusion, health needs, awaiting a specialist school placement and looked after children who have recently moved into the area. The main subject areas that tutors are expected to deliver are the core subjects (Maths, English and Science to GCSE level). There may be some flexibility however for younger, less able, or more challenging students when appropriate. The tutor is expected to provide their own resources, liaise with other professionals and help with the transition into school where appropriate to do so. The successful Supply Worker will be called upon as the need arises and cannot be guaranteed regular work. This role is based at various locations across the East Riding. We are a none-profit service and unlike most agencies we do not charge for payroll or top slice the fee you receive; however, we do ask supply workers’ to pay an annual registration fee of £72.We will be interviewing as and when applications arrive so if you meet the essential criteria you will be contacted to arrange a suitable date and time. Currently interviews are being held over Microsoft Teams.Please note the role is subjected to safer recruitment checks, including but not limited to online checks.You must provide a full record of employment from leaving compulsory education. Please leave no unexplained gaps – include periods of unemployment, study, voluntary work, bringing up a family, part time work or multiple employments. It is especially important that reasons for leaving are given fully.An enhanced DBS disclosure is required for all supply work. If you do not already have a valid DBS that is for "Child Workforce" only, this can be organised for a fee of £53.
