Role Overview The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities within the drylining sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of interior construction and strong contacts within main contractors, developers, and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the drylining and interior fit-out markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, architects, and procurement teams
- Develop a robust pipeline of potential projects and tender opportunities
- Attend networking events, trade shows, and industry forums to increase brand awareness
- Collaborate with the pre-construction team to prepare and deliver bid presentations
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments
- Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall company growth
- Maintain CRM systems and provide regular business development reports to leadership
- Proven track record in business development or sales within construction, ideally drylining or fit-out
- Strong industry network with main contractors, developers, and consultants
- Commercial awareness and understanding of construction procurement cycles
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
- Experience working with CRM and sales tracking tools
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required
