Job Description:Transport AdministratorCheltenham£27,367 per annum, plus Pension, Life Assurance, Employee Assistance Programme, Recommend a Friend Bonus Scheme, Long Service Awards, Performance Awards and opportunities for training and development.Due to internal promotion, we have a new role that has opened up at our Cheltenham site, focusing on the smooth operation of the transport team including utilising software to store and report on data, which will enable us to enhance the overall performance.The role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday.The working hours will be 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (8.00 a.m. start when covering the Transport Manager)Your new role:Working closely with the Transport Manager, you will be involved in managing and organising the daily activities of all CLEAN / ALSCO drivers which will involve:
  • Organising route sheets and dealing with all transport related case work in a timely manner
  • Ensuring driver standards are upheld at all times regarding service levels, behaviours and uniform
  • Using TruTac software, filling in blanks, chasing downloads if needed, uploading documents, and dealing with infringements in conjunction with the Transport Manager
  • Debriefing the drivers daily
  • Organising and controlling the drivers' rotas including updating and maintaining the holiday planner and sickness records in conjunction with site support and HR.
  • Using PARIS software for case resolution where applicable / entering cases if required
  • Reviewing drivers scores from telematics system and liaising with driver trainer where required
  • Inspecting vehicles for cleanliness/damage/unnecessary kit
  • Reporting Odometer readings at the end of the month for full fleet to central spreadsheet
  • Ensuring vehicles are available for planned maintenance and service scheduling when requested by the Transport Manager
  • Organising drivers' inductions to customers sites as required for health and safety purposes
  • Assisting the Transport Manager with any accident/incident investigations
  • Covering for the Transport Manager whilst they are on leave
  • Daily liaison with Cheltenham Admin to ensure any customer issues are dealt with in a timely manner and daily liaison with Special Occasion Linen (SOL) to ensure all orders are planned and ready for shipment in a timely manner / help SOL team with any extra requests.
