Their holistic approach to education goes beyond academics, focusing on the holistic development of each individual, including their physical well-being.What We're Looking For: We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teaching Assistant who is passionate about promoting physical health and well-being among students with SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be patient, empathetic, and dedicated to supporting the holistic development of our students.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the PE teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive physical education lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEMH challenges.
  • Providing one-on-one support and guidance to students during PE activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Collaborating with other staff members to develop individualised physical education plans for students with diverse needs.
  • Implementing behaviour management strategies to support positive participation and engagement in PE classes.
  • Monitoring and tracking student progress in physical education, providing feedback to the teacher and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
  • A passion for physical education and promoting healthy lifestyles among young people.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Patience, resilience, and a flexible approach to working in a dynamic educational environment.
