- Tender Development: Lead the preparation and submission of tenders for rotary piling and ground engineering works, ensuring that all costs are accurately captured and aligned with client specifications and project requirements;
- Cost Estimation: Generate detailed and accurate cost estimates for rotary piling and geotechnical foundation works, ensuring that all elements of the project are covered, including labour, materials, equipment, and overheads;
- Innovation in Pricing: Utilize your technical expertise to develop innovative rotary pricing solutions that are competitive while maintaining profit margins and ensuring high-quality outcomes;
- Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and clients, to ensure that tender proposals meet the client's objectives and adhere to Balfour Beatty's standards of safety and excellence;
- Client Engagement: Attend pre-contract meetings, client briefings, and other stakeholder meetings to understand project requirements, build strong relationships, and enhance our competitive edge;
- Risk and Opportunity Management: Identify potential risks, challenges, and opportunities within the project scope and incorporate mitigation strategies into the cost base;
- Project Delivery: Support the delivery of successful projects by maintaining a clear line of communication between estimating teams, operational teams, and clients throughout the lifecycle of the project;
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of best practices in estimating processes, ensuring the use of the latest industry techniques and technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Proven experience in tender development and cost estimation for rotary piling and ground engineering projects;
- Strong technical knowledge with the ability to create innovative and competitive pricing solutions;
- Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders;
- Confidence in engaging with clients and attending pre-contract and stakeholder meetings;
- Skill in identifying risks and opportunities and incorporating mitigation strategies into project planning;
- Strong communication and coordination abilities to support seamless project delivery;
- A commitment to continuous improvement and adoption of industry best practices and technologies.
