Phlebotomy Service:
To run a daily phlebotomy service for all patients booked into EMIS appointment book at the practice scheduled for the day.o Ensuring Health & Safety legislation is adhered to at all timeso Ensuring each sample is clearly labelled and sent to the Path lab in a timely mannero Ensuring all relevant paperwork has been completed
Administrative duties
To maintain adequate stock levels in order to provide a phlebotomy service.To ensure all patient information is entered accurately into computer systemEnsure accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with patient health care.Ensure collection and maintenance of statistical information required for regular and ad hoc reports.
Special Requirements
The post holder must be qualified as a phlebotomist or willing to undertake the necessary training.The post holder must ensure their Hep B immunity is at a satisfactory level and inform SWGP of this.The post holder must liaise closely with the nurses/HCA on duty.Excellent communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a teamAbility to interact with patients and colleagues in a professional mannerAbility to maintain consistent approach across all member practicesAbout usSWGP Federation is made up of GP practices from areas including Warwick, Leamington, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Kenilworth.
