I am currently looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant or HLTA on a Part-Time basis for a school in the BS31 area of Bristol.This position is to support group interventions throughout the school and to cover any Teacher absences and PPA.This school is a positive place to work, offering a supportive team of staff and a place that encourages children to be their best self and curious about their learning. In all aspects of school life we encourage students to love learning, embrace challenges, give and earn respect and grow our community.The RoleThis role is a part-time position starting in September, where the successful candidate will work throughout this 2 form entry school, working with small groups of children supporting Maths, English, Phonics, Spelling and much more.You will be working closely with children with SEMH needs who have been identified to need alternative school provision for specific periods.You will need to communicate clearly with Class Teachers, their progress and areas of development to help with planning of interventions.You will be expected to:
  • Be an experienced, enthusiastic, proactive and resourceful person
  • Have good communication and organisational skills
  • Have good knowledge of the educational curriculum.
  • Be creative, adaptable and supportive - be emotionally intelligent.
  • Support the class teachers with interventions, lessons and behaviour management.
