- Collaborate with senior staff and global PD managers to understand business goals and inform the development of longer-run EU/UK communications and promotion strategies.
- Partner with practice leads and senior consultants to develop and facilitate practice-related initiatives and tactical execution, tailored to EU/UK Market.
- Meet regularly with each partner to focus on practice-specific goals, including identifying and researching potential clients and market opportunities across the UK and EU. Work closely with them to build and implement business development activities in collaboration with Marketing department colleagues.
- Provide insight and strategic support to identify gaps in EU/UK specific marketing, BD, and communications practices/tools. Provide proactive ideas and strategies based on prior experience in these geographies.
- Market and Client Development & Visibility
- In conjunction with senior staff, identify, evaluate, and manage profile-raising events including sponsored industry events, AG hosted events, in-house presentations for clients, and professional speaking opportunities designed to enhance European market visibility.
- Coordinate and prepare ranking submissions; work with practice leads to determine rankings strategy for each submission, draft and finalize submissions accordingly.
- Propose new target markets/clients to consultants, along with strategies and tactics to pursue. Close integrated work with colleagues focusing on lead generation and research will be essential to help map strategy and support that moves leads to securing business, along with analytics to increase new business outcomes.
- Pitch & Experience Development
- Support proposals and pitches, including drafting relevant case experience, tailoring bios, and developing new stock content for the firm’s experience database and proposal generation tool.
- Collaborate with consultants and our editorial team on the development of compelling practice-related marketing collateral tailored to the European market; this may include website descriptions, brochures, and other public facing materials.
- Project Management & Execution
- Oversee initiatives with attention to scope, deadlines, and stakeholder alignment.
- Provide insight and strategic support to identify gaps in EU/UK specific marketing, BD, and communications practices/tools. Provide proactive ideas and strategies based on prior experience in these geographies.
- Plan and manage client outreach campaigns, including regular cross-practice email marketing and LinkedIn content strategy – raising AG brand awareness.
- Track and report on business development activities, client engagement, and return on investment. This should be data-driven where possible, tracking email engagement, event attendance and follow up, etc. (leverage firm developed: frameworks, planning tools, and best practices to translate these strategic priorities into tactical initiatives and client development activities and to track performance of initiatives rolled-out in the EU/UK).
- Maintain and update client databases, mailing lists, and CRM tools.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 8 years of substantive relevant experience in professional services marketing, business development, or practice development in Europe required.
- Strong knowledge of European legal markets, particularly in dispute resolution and competition.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (fluent or native in both languages required). German language proficiency a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish credibility with senior leaders in the practice and bring to bear the right mix of confidence, tact, and persistence in working with both consultants and professional staff in a multi-office environment.
- Demonstrated ability to gain consensus through influence, presence, and positive discussion Required.

- Exceptional project management and organizational skills, including ability to develop project plans and set deadlines to meet practice objectives, manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

- Demonstrated commercial results from business development within professional services practice areas – i.e., measurable impact of marketing / business development efforts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams); fluency in using CRM and technologies – including AI/GenAI- to improve marketing execution, automate content development, and support team effectiveness.
