Contract Personnel are currently recruiting for TIG Welders based in the outskirts of Norwich. Own transport is essential due to site location and previous experience required.This is an excellent temp to perm opportunity.Please note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in the UK at the time of application.Duties and responsibilities:
  • To accurately TIG weld to drawings
  • Liaise with the Engineering design team, often welding from working sketches or verbal description
  • Work with factory operatives in order to fulfill welding needs
  • Assist the development technicians from time to time to assist with assembling and testing of products
  • Using initiative to ensure the most efficient method of Welding components to ensure cost effective manufacture
  • Any other duties as required
Requirements:
  • Previous MIG Welding experience essential
  • Time-served apprentice in Aluminum and Stainless-Steel welding
  • Ability to operate and maintain the TIG Welder equipment
  • Proven experience of working from engineering drawings and also ability to manufacture components from verbal instructions or sketches
  • Ability to work productively, efficiently, and effectively with initiative and drive, even under tight deadlines and pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team at all levels
Shift pattern:
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day shift hours
