This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a GMP-regulated environment, where quality, precision, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do.The Role:As Warehouse Shift Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with GDP, GMP, and Health & Safety protocols. You will manage a team of Warehouse Operatives, coordinate shift activities, and play a critical role in supporting commercial and export logistics.You’ll also act as the first point of contact out-of-hours and provide structured training and development support to your team.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and supervise shift operations to meet production and sales targets.
- Allocate duties, manage schedules, and cover staff absences.
- Monitor and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct regular team briefings and ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Oversee stock checks, product storage, and dispatch accuracy.
- Ensure warehouse security and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Be the main contact for coordinating UK and export shipments.
- Support training and continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
- Maintain accurate stock traceability and documentation in SAP and other systems.
- Previous supervisory/people management experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within GMP/GDP-regulated environments (3–5 years).
- Strong attention to detail and compliance with written procedures.
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using ERP/WMS systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Valid Reach Truck licence
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths & English.
- Must be able to drive to get to the location
- Pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Motorised pallet truck licence.
- Able to pass a Basic DBS check and provide 5 years of employment references.
- Willingness to be part of the on-call rota (minimum 7 weeks per year).
