Behaviour Support Leader – North Tyneside (Full Time)Are you passionate about transforming student behaviour and building a positive and inclusive school culture? Join a North Tyneside primary school as a Behaviour Support Leader, where you’ll champion high conduct standards, support students with challenging behaviour, and drive positive change.What You’ll Be DoingLead and oversee the daily running of the Internal Suspension (reflection) room to maintain high conduct expectations.Line-manage the Behaviour Support and inclusion team, working together to support students.Organise and oversee detentions, including tracking attendance and liaising with pastoral staff.Coordinate with teachers to ensure students on long-term suspension continue to access the National Curriculum.Analyse behaviour trends via data, identifying areas for improvement and supporting targeted interventions.Actively support staff in the classroom when challenging behaviour arises.Ensure accurate logging of interventions and detentions in the school information system.Plan meaningful work for students in Internal Suspension, monitoring completion, and involving parents/carers on concerns.Maintain visible presence during duty and classroom visits, setting a positive tone for the team.Organise an on-call system to support staff with students needing additional support during lessons.Play a vital role in achieving school targets around reduced exclusions and improved attendance.Monitor students on individual behaviour plans, collaborating with Heads of Year and SLT.What We’re Looking ForA commitment to putting people at the heart of everything you do—valuing both students and colleagues.A calm yet firm presence, able to inspire students to reflect and re-engage with learning.A strong sense of doing the right thing, ensuring consistency and fairness in approach.An ethos of co
