Field Service Engineer – Refrigeration & ElectricalPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join our well-established client based in Hinckley on a full-time permanent basis.This is a fantastic opportunity offering a competitive salary and the chance to join a specialist engineering team with exciting prospects for growth, development, and international travel.Hours of Work:Monday to Friday – 08:30 to 16:30
(3 days workshop-based, 2 days on the road UK-wide. Optional overseas work also available)Salary:£38,000 – £48,000 per annum (DOE)

Day to Day Duties:
  • Diagnose and repair refrigeration and electrical issues on machinery
  • Service, maintain and install food machinery
  • Handle both UK-wide customer visits and on-site workshop repairs
  • Liaise with farms, shops and other end-users to provide technical support
  • Carry out routine maintenance, fault finding and documentation
  • Prepare machinery for shipping or installation
  • Follow Health & Safety and compliance procedures at all times
Essential Skills:
  • Refrigeration and electrical engineering experience
  • Good mechanical understanding and hands-on capability
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong communication skills and professional customer service
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team
  • Willingness to travel across the UK (overnight stays occasionally required)
  • Valid Passport
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working in the food or dairy industry
  • F-Gas certified (or willing to become certified)
  • Previous work with ice cream machines or food processing equipment
  • Flexible to travel internationally for short periods
Training:
  • Full industry-related training will be provided, along with ongoing technical support.
  • Opportunities to up-skill in specialist food machinery and refrigeration compliance will also be available
