SENIOR CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

• Lead the design and delivery of bridge and civil structure projects from concept through to construction.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Take ownership of project budgets, fee proposals, and programme management.
• Ensure all design work complies with health and safety regulations, environmental considerations, and relevant industry standards.
• Provide technical mentorship and supervision to junior team members, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Support business development efforts through technical input on proposals and bids.
• Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and technical forums.
• Some travel, including overnight stays or weekend site visits, may be required.

• Proven ability to manage teams and deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Ambition to progress within a dynamic, employee-owned environment.

• 5–8 years’ experience in civil and structural engineering, ideally with a focus on bridges or infrastructure.
• Proficient in CAD standards and drawing production.
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• Able to produce structured, accurate technical outputs with minimal oversight.
• Comfortable representing technical views to both internal stakeholders and external clients.

• Strong leadership and project management capability.
• Familiarity with procurement and contract administration.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field (ICE-accredited).
• Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with ICE or an equivalent professional institution.
