Job Title: JoinerLocation: Warwick University, CoventryContract Type: Temporary (Project-Based)Salary: £20 - £22 per hourReporting To: Site Supervisor / Project ManagerJob Purpose:To carry out high-quality joinery work as part of a construction or refurbishment project at Warwick University. The role involves working on-site to install, repair, and maintain wooden structures and fittings in accordance with project specifications and health & safety standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Install doors, windows, partitions, staircases, and other wooden fixtures.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials accurately.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and contractors on-site.
  • Ensure all work complies with building regulations and safety standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Requirements:Essential:
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in site-based joinery work.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme).
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Desirable:
  • Experience working on university or public sector projects.
  • PASMA or IPAF certification.
  • First Aid certification.
Working Conditions:
  • Outdoor and indoor site work across Warwick University campus.
  • PPE must be worn at all times.
  • May involve working at height or in confined spaces.
