Senior Fund Controller - Real Estate Funds (6m Contract)The CompanyOur client is a leading global alternatives investment manager with a strong track record in private markets. Their portfolio spans private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real estate, with a growing focus on residential assets including build-to-rent, affordable housing, and student accommodation. With significant capital committed, the firm offers ambitious professionals the chance to play a pivotal role in delivering innovative, high-performing investment products.The ResponsibilitiesThis is a fantastic opportunity to shape the financial strategy of two large residential real estate funds. Working in a hybrid model and reporting directly to senior leadership, you will act as a key financial partner to fund managers, investors, and external providers, ensuring robust oversight and adding real commercial value.Key responsibilities include:
  • Supporting fund and asset management teams in delivering fund strategy and structuring transactions
  • Leading financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and stress testing to promote value for investors
  • Reviewing and signing off high-risk deliverables from outsourced administrators
  • Ensuring accurate and timely financial, regulatory, and investor reporting
  • Advising on performance indicators, risk management, and investment opportunities
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to stakeholders across the business on fund-related financial matters
  • Driving financial input into the onboarding of new products, assets, and suppliers
  • Presenting financial insights at internal boards and to external investors
Selection CriteriaWe're looking for a commercially minded and technically strong finance professional who can influence decision-making at senior levels.
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • 8+ years' experience in private quity real assets fund finance
  • Strong knowledge of UK residential property funds and fund structures (Jersey experience advantageous)
  • Proficiency in fund accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven track record of partnering with fund managers and third-party administrators
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence in presenting to boards and investors
