Job Title: Financial AccountantIdeal for an ACA Qualified Accountant looking for a first step into industry from an accountancy practise.Location: ReadingSalary: £55,000 - £65,000About the CompanyMy client are a fast growing energy business with a reputation for innovation and excellence. Their growth has come from organic and acquisitions and now they are looking for a recently qualified ACA accountant to join the finance team.The RoleThis is a fantastic first step into industry for a practice-trained ACA seeking to apply their technical expertise in a dynamic, group reporting environment. You will gain exposure to consolidations, IFRS, and FRS 102, while supporting statutory reporting and key projects across the group.Key Responsibilities:Preparation of statutory financial statements under IFRS and FRS 102Support with monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation processesAssist with group reporting packs for senior stakeholders and external auditorsLead elements of the year-end close and external audit processMaintain and enhance internal controls and accounting policiesProvide technical accounting guidance on new standards and business transactionsSupport ad hoc finance projects, process improvements, and system enhancementsAbout You:ACA qualified (first-time mover, ideally from Big 4 / Top 10 audit background)Strong technical accounting knowledge, with exposure to IFRS and/or FRS 102Experience in preparing or auditing consolidated accountsConfident working with external auditors and senior stakeholdersHigh attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsIf you are a newly qualified ACA with strong technical accounting and are ready to make your first move into industry, we’d love to hear from you.
