We are seeking a talented digital designer to join our creative team and bring the Rapid7 brand to life through captivating visuals and dynamic motion graphics. Working across the full design spectrum of website, social organic and paid, motion graphics and print design, you will create outstanding work with user conversion at its core.Supporting the Senior Interactive Designer and Senior Designer, you will be fluent in Figma and the Adobe suite. A good understanding of motion graphics and video editing for social media channels is a big plus, in particular After Effects.About the TeamThe Digital Designer who joins our growing design team will be part of a fun and supportive environment that fosters healthy collaboration between content writers and other designers. They will also have the opportunity to engage with multiple cross-functional teams who serve as our internal customers: Digital Marketing, Growth Marketing, Integrated Campaigns, Product Marketing, and more! The design team also works in conjunction with project managers to support the business globally. The Digital Designer will report to the Director, Brand & Content Strategy.About the RoleAs a Digital Designer, your primary responsibility will be to champion and elevate the Rapid7 brand by conceptualising and delivering compelling visual narratives and dynamic motion graphics that engage audiences and drive brand consistency across all platforms. Specifically, your focus will be to:Review creative briefs (from both internal and external partners) and support the Senior Interactive Designer and Senior Designer to conceptualise web pages and imagery as part of marketing campaigns, using Figma and Adobe software.Take storyboards and build out motion graphics using After Effects as well as concepting storyboards.Contribute to other design related projects, including events, collateral, digital media content, slide decks, and more.Partner with Copywriters on specific projects and work closely with Project Managers, Content Strategists, digital strategy, and media teams internally and externally to develop campaign creative.Keeping up to date with the market and the industry to better implement the latest technologies into the design process and sharing inspiration and industry knowledge on a consistent basis.Collaborate with a cross-functional team requesting support to ensure both design best practices and user experience is at the heart of our decision-making.Translate the objectives of various departments into cohesive, visually compelling,
and user-friendly designs.The skills and qualities you'll bring include:3+ years of experience in digital design, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.Have a portfolio of previous work that demonstrates motion and digital design skills.Proficiency with Figma and a strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.Demonstrate strong user empathy by designing with the end-user in mind, leveraging user research insights, and constructively integrating feedback to enhance user experience.Strong collaboration & cross-functional communication skills.Ability to approach design challenges methodically.Thinks creatively when facing constraints or ambiguity.Strong growth mindset and someone who is curious and stays up-to-date with design trends and tools.Bonus: previous experience in digital product design (UX/UI) and using design systems.Embody our core values to foster a culture of excellence that drives meaningful impact and collective success.We know that the best ideas and solutions come from multi-dimensional teams.
