- Accurately record and maintain sales transactions, raising invoices, and posting/allocating receipts.
- Support with both purchase and sales ledger
- Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner.
- Monitor and chase outstanding payments.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer accounts.
- Implement effective credit control procedures to minimise overdue payments.
- Contact customers to ensure timely payment and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of all communication and payment arrangements.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare month-end reports, reconciliations, and journals.
- May be required to reconcile the bank accounts, claim the monthly VAT (therefore VAT law and compliance knowledge is required)
- Contribute to the month-end close process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- liaising with the Company’s external accountants and auditors.
- Provide support in resolving any accounting discrepancies or issues that arise.
- Assist with general financial duties, such as data entry, answering phone calls, and document management.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to sales ledger and credit control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and accurate financial information
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
- Proficient in using the accounting software Sage/Xero software
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
