Facilities are thoughtfully designed to support sensory learning, therapeutic interventions, and physical development.he ClassYou'll be leading a Key Stage 2 group of nine pupils, supported by two experienced Teaching Assistants. Pupils are working below age-related expectations and benefit from a highly personalised approach. Needs include communication difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and emotional regulation challenges. You'll play a key role in both academic progress and pastoral care, contributing to EHCP reviews and working closely with families and external professionals.Your Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Foster a calm, inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe and supported
- Use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, and sensory-based learning to enhance communication and engagement
- Collaborate with therapists, families, and the wider school team
- Promote emotional literacy, physical wellbeing, and independence
- Contribute to whole-school CPD and reflective practice
- A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in UK Primary settings
- Confident in supporting pupils with Autism and communication needs
- Skilled in classroom management and nurturing relationships
- Familiar with SEN tools and approaches (PECS, Makaton, ABA - desirable)
