Set in a well-connected part of South East London, this purpose-built SEN provision offers a nurturing and structured environment for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, speech and language challenges, and SEMH. The leadership team is known for its commitment to staff development, wellbeing, and collaborative practice. Facilities are thoughtfully designed to support sensory learning, therapeutic interventions, and physical development.he ClassYou'll be leading a Key Stage 2 group of nine pupils, supported by two experienced Teaching Assistants. Pupils are working below age-related expectations and benefit from a highly personalised approach. Needs include communication difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and emotional regulation challenges. You'll play a key role in both academic progress and pastoral care, contributing to EHCP reviews and working closely with families and external professionals.Your Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Foster a calm, inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe and supported
  • Use strategies such as PECS, Makaton, and sensory-based learning to enhance communication and engagement
  • Collaborate with therapists, families, and the wider school team
  • Promote emotional literacy, physical wellbeing, and independence
  • Contribute to whole-school CPD and reflective practice
Who We're Looking For
  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in UK Primary settings
  • Confident in supporting pupils with Autism and communication needs
  • Skilled in classroom management and nurturing relationships
  • Familiar with SEN tools and approaches (PECS, Makaton, ABA - desirable)
  • Reflective, proactive, and committed to inclusive education
