- Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology including specific models of psychopathology and psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology as accredited by the BPS. Current registration with the HCPC as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist.
- Formal training in supervision of other psychologists
- Experience of working as a qualified clinical/counselling psychologist within CAMHS or Adult Mental Health. Experience of teaching and training. Experience of developing and running groups. Experience of supervision of staff. Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of adult and young people across a range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings. Experience of working with a wide variety of patient groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and threat of physical abuse.
- Post qualification experience of working patients (and their families) with eating disorders and/or associated co-morbidities (e.g. ASD, complex trauma, EUPD, depression, OCD, self-harm). Experience of the application of clinical or counselling psychology in different cultural contexts. Experience of providing consultation / training on eating disorders. Experience of supervision of trainee or assistant psychologists or other psychologists.
