
Lubrication Technician (Mechanical Maintenance)

- Ensuring planned maintenance schedules, condition reviews and task frequencies are prioritised
- Mechanical inspections supporting the continued development of Stone plant criticality and ensuring any measurement set points or defects identified are inputted into CMMS
- Continuous development of preventative maintenance schedules, FMEA's and condition monitoring techniques to deliver the required level of plant reliability
- Carrying out minor repairs within own capability and competence to support the continuous performance and improvement of all aspects of equipment lubrication and the development and implementation of new technologies, equipment and methods to ensure that industry best practice is maintained
- Identifying any abnormal plant condition, monitoring until the necessary intervention is required and validating any reported defects by creating required work orders to progress through to the maintenance planning function
- Communicating effectively with maintenance, process and production teams to ensure all stakeholders are aware of plant and equipment running and performance conditions
- Developing required service level agreements and evaluating condition reports, prioritising actions and creating work orders to rectify defects
- Monitoring trend condition set points and plant condition, predicting maintenance activities and providing reports for budget planning to enable all repairs to be carried out in a planned and cost effective manner
- Supporting and actively contributing to plant failure and RCA investigations
- This role requires you to be both site and office based helping drive the maintenance strategy
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial lubrication systems
- Ability to fault find and guide/complete repairs on lubrication systems
- Experience with COSHH controls and working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental standards
- Proven fault finding and preventative maintenance skills - able to understand, collect, organise and analyse data to understand cause and effects relationship
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Good, clear and concise report writing skills

- Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- IT Literate, particularly SAP and Microsoft Office applications
- Mechanical apprenticeship (preferred)
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (advantageous)
- NEBOSH and/or IOSH Managing Safely (preferred)
