About The RoleFDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Senior Test Assurance Analyst to work for our client within the public sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a remote role.Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Test Assurance Analyst to take a leading role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our technology solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and executing test assurance activities, working closely with the Product Manager, Delivery Lead, Developers, and Testers to ensure the client's products meet the highest standards before release.This position requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, test governance, and quality assurance best practices.Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of test assurance activities across multiple projects and releases
  • Define and implement test assurance strategies, frameworks, and governance processes aligned with organizational quality standards
  • Review and validate test artefacts (e.g., test strategies, plans, scripts, and reports) to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established methodologies
  • Provide independent oversight and assurance on the adequacy and effectiveness of test coverage, defect management, and test reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risks, identify gaps, and recommend improvements in testing processes and quality controls
  • Act as the point of escalation for complex testing issues, providing expert guidance and resolution
  • Support test environment and test data management activities to ensure readiness for all phases of testing
  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, highlighting trends, issues, and actionable recommendations
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts and testers to uplift testing capabilities across the organisation
