- Relevant Qualifications: Holds an NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching and Learning Support, or equivalent, demonstrating a solid foundation in educational support.
- Safeguarding Compliance: Holds a current, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check registered with the Update Service, or be willing to undergo one immediately.
- Experience Across Key Stages: Proven experience working with children and young people across both primary (EYFS to Year 6) and secondary (Year 7 to Year 13) school settings, understanding the diverse needs of different age groups.
- SEN Expertise: Specific experience and/or a strong understanding of various special educational needs (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, dyslexia, speech and language difficulties, social, emotional and mental health needs)
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Patience & Empathy: A high degree of patience, empathy, and resilience, with a genuine desire to support students with diverse learning styles and challenges.
- Adaptability: The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and individual student needs, demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness.
- Team Player: A collaborative approach, able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
