Academics is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-regarded secondary school in Hertfordshire, seeking a dedicated Art and Photography Technician to join their dynamic and supportive department from September 2025.Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Art and Photography departments with the preparation of materials, resources, and equipment.
- Maintain, organise, and monitor stock and supplies.
- Assist in the setup and take-down of classroom displays and exhibitions.
- Provide technical support to students and staff during practical lessons.
- Maintain specialist equipment, including darkroom and digital photography resources.
- Help ensure health and safety procedures are followed in all practical areas.
- A background in Art, Photography, or a related creative field.
- Good working knowledge of cameras, digital editing software (e.g., Photoshop), and traditional art materials.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
