- oEntry on Specialist Register (or entry expected within six months, if currently an SpR). oCCT in general surgery or equivalent- this includes applicants who have successfully gained CCT gone through CESR (Article 14).
- oPostgraduate thesis.
- oAbility to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of both elective and emergency problems in general and colorectal surgery. oAn interest in management of early rectal cancer oAbility to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients. oAn interest in managing Right colon cancer
- oJAG accreditation in colonoscopy including therapeutic colonoscopy. oA sub-specialist interest in management of deep pelvic endometriosis oA sub-specialist interest in management of patient with rectal cancer and treated with TNT who achieve full pathological response. oPrior robotic experience oPrior experience with complete mesocolic excision (CME) and central vascular ligation (CVL).
- oAbility to manage and lead a surgical firm. oAbility to work in a multi-disciplinary team. oAbility to teach clinical and operative skills.
- oExperience of audit management. oExperience of the development of treatment pathways for early rectal cancer and watch and wait approach oExperience of teaching and clinical skills to undergraduates and postgraduates.
