Job Type: Temporary / OngoingAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef to join a care home on the Isle of Wight. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who is passionate about providing nutritious, well-balanced meals that support the health and wellbeing of residents.An Enhanced DBS is required due to the setting. For candidates travelling from further afield, a live-in option is available to support with accommodation.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare, and cook meals to meet residents’ dietary requirements, preferences, and medical needs.Ensure meals are served on time and presented to a high standard.Manage stock levels and order supplies efficiently.Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and health & safety in the kitchen.Adapt menus for specific dietary requirements (e.g., soft diets, allergens).Support and guide catering assistants when needed.Keep accurate records, including food safety checks, cleaning schedules, and stock management.Essential RequirementsPrevious experience as a Chef, ideally in a care home or healthcare setting.Knowledge of nutrition and special dietary needs.Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).Food Hygiene Level 2 (minimum) – Level 3 desirable.Strong time management and organisational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.A compassionate and respectful attitude towards residents.What We OfferCompetitive hourly pay.Flexible working arrangements.Live-in accommodation available if nee
