- Registered Nurse with vaild NMC pin demonstrable post registration experience
- Registered Health Visitor/ Specialist Practitioner Qualification in Public Health Nursing
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level
- Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification
- Demonstrate specialist knowledge / CPD in relation to Public Protection, trauma informed practice eg Adverse Childhood Events (ACES)
- Highly developed specialist and expert knowledge of health visiting practise and complex child protection risk assessment underpinned by theory and experience.
- Highly developed specialist knowledge, understanding and interpretation of child protection guidance, policies and national legislation to protect children and staff.
- Specialist knowledge and application of QI methodology, relating to staff supervision supporting in the development of QI and training e.g. orthoptic/financial inclusion/psychologically informed environments.
- The post holder will possess excellent team-working/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
- Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management skills
- Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA drivers licence
- Management knowledge gained through experience and continuous professional development
- Demonstration of ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams
- Demonstrate an understanding of health inequalities
- Extensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the health care agenda
- A proven track record in developing innovative solutions in meeting organisational requirements and motivating staff to affect change
- Working knowledge of basic information technology
- Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
