Operating in a fast paced, constantly changing, and highly regulated environment, the role oversees all site purchasing, forecasting, production planning, and material control to maintain a 99% service level while optimising inventory investment, minimising write offs, and delivering cost savings in line with EBITDA targets.Duties include, but will not be limited to:
  • Leading all site purchasing activities, ensuring quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Delivering accurate short- and long-term forecasts that align with sales demand, production capacity, and material lead times.
  • Owning the weekly production plan, ensuring operational alignment, materials readiness, and optimising schedules to minimise changeovers.
  • Maintaining robust material control processes to prevent shortages, avoid excess stock, and reduce write offs.
  • Leading capacity planning for each department on site to ensure resources, equipment, and staffing levels are aligned with the production plan and forecasted demand.
  • Managing the monthly S&OP process at site level, feeding into the Group S&OP process.
  • Monitoring and reporting monthly on KPI performance including Forecast Accuracy, Service Level, Inventory Value and Duration, Obsolescence, and Supplier Performance.
  • Identifying supply risks and developing contingency plans to protect service levels and mitigate potential disruptions.
  • Working closely with production, quality, sales, finance, and global supply chain teams to ensure alignment of plans, priorities, and objectives.
  • Leading, developing, and coaching the UK Supply Chain team to build capability, improve performance, and support succession planning.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across service, cost, cash flow, and environmental impact.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements for the industry.
  • Forming proactive relationships cross functionally, internationally, and externally.
As this is a brand-new role, you will be proactive and motivated, carving your own path in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.It is essential you have:
  • Previous experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in FMCG, pharmaceutical, or medical sector.
  • Strong understanding of Forecasting, Supply Planning, Procurement, Inventory Management, S&OP, Logistics, and Capacity Planning.
  • Proficiency in Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS) and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
