Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for numerous Permanent Production Operatives, for a client located in Newton Aycliffe. Reporting into the Section Leader. Training can take upwards of 2 years to learn one production line so candidates must be willing to work for our client on a long-term basis – it can take 10 years to learn a variety of lines.Production Operative Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To manufacture weather seals in a safe manner. (Extrusions Department)
  • Fully embrace our Core Values.
  • To work in the section in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Targets (OEE, Scrap, OTIF ,Quality Standards , Throughput and Productivity).
  • Work as part of the team on agreed objectives with Section Leader and Production Manager.
  • Actively promote ‘Best and safe Practice’ in all areas.
  • Actively promote the Quanex ‘CREED’
  • Support Section Leader in achieving through objectives.
  • Ensure informative handover is effectively communicated to succeeding operator, any points of note written, signed and dated; in handover book.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Section Leader.
Production Operative Applicants:Essential Requirements:
  • Exposure to manufacturing environment
  • Strong production experience
  • Lean Tools / Techniques
  • SAP experience
  • Good with modern technology (computers)
Desirable Requirements:
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Creative problem-solving techniques
  • Setting experience
  • Any engineering backgrounds
  • Experience with plastics or extrusions

Hourly rate: £12.36 per hour basic, plus 20% shift allowance.Annual salary including 20% shift allowance: £30,850Working a 3-shift pattern of 10pm to 6am, 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm. First couple of weeks will be spent completing the relevant training/induction, during this period candidates will be working a day shift of 8am to 4pm.
