Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon applicationWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Crediton, Devon. This full-time role offers the opportunity to provide expert psychiatric care within a supportive and multidisciplinary environment, serving adults with complex mental health needs.Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and psychiatric care for adults with a range of mental health conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, psychology, social care, and primary care professionals.
- Participate in service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees.
- Engage with families, carers, and external agencies to ensure holistic, person-centred care.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register for General Adult Psychiatry (or within 6 months of CCT)
- MRCPsych or equivalent qualification
- Experience in adult psychiatry and multidisciplinary team working
- Strong leadership, communication, and clinical decision-making skills
