A Shropshire based food manufacture are looking to recruit a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer (with strong electrical skills) for their production facility based in North Shropshire.As a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer you will provide engineering support to the production area and be responsible for reactive and proactive maintenance of plant, equipment, and any auxiliary systems.Role:
  • Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer
  • 4 on / 4 off Days and Nights (7am/pm to 7pm/am) (one week days, one week nights)

Key responsibilities of Maintenance Engineer:
  • Assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
  • Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
  • Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
  • Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents / CMMS
  • Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements
Experience and skills required:
  • Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G’s or NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level
  • Multi skilled, strong electrical skills / experience
  • Apprenticeship trained
  • Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production
  • Food manufacturing experience would be very desirable
  • Knowledge of servo drives and inverters
  • PLC knowledge would be advantageous
