As we approach the New Academic Year, we are working with a range of schools in the South West of England who are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their teams.Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset, Weston-Super-MareHere at Long-Term Teachers, we want to support you to find the next best role, whether it is to build your confidence and experience as a teaching assistant, or have a flexible position to suit your lifestyle.You will have the opportunity to step into various classroom settings; EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2 and deliver engaging lessons.The RoleHere at Long-Term Teachers, we support schools with Long-Term and Fixed Term needs, from 6 weeks +.These opportunities can be Part-Time or Full-Time, working around your commitments and availability.We are looking for candidates who have experience working closely with children and/or young people. You must be a patient and nurturing individual who is passionate about supporting children with their educational and social development.Your role and responsibilities as a teaching assistant will also include:
  • Work collaboratively with Class Teachers
  • Adapt activities to meet the needs of children.
  • Support small group interventions - based on core subjects.
  • Work with SEND children.
  • Challenge children in their work to gain the best learning experiences.

  • Have experience working with children or young people.
