This is a standout opportunity to join a Top 100 UK Law Firm, recently recognised as one of the Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For and drive the development of its commercial disputes practice in Oxford.The Role:Due to strategic growth, our client is recruiting a Senior Associate or Partner-level Commercial Litigation Solicitor to lead and expand the disputes offering in Oxford. You will be joining a Legal 100 recognised team, collaborating with specialists across the firm’s network of offices in the South West, Oxfordshire and London.You’ll manage a varied caseload of high-value and complex commercial litigation matters, including:
  • Shareholder and partnership disputes
  • Corporate and director claims
  • Contract disputes
  • Business and commercial disagreements
This is a client-facing, leadership role where you’ll be expected to contribute to business development and cross-referrals, as well as mentor junior fee earners.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Commercial Litigation function in the Oxford office
  • Work with existing commercial and property law teams to deliver seamless service
  • Handle a full caseload of contentious commercial matters
  • Actively participate in networking and business development initiatives
  • Support and supervise junior lawyers as the team grows
  • Play a central role in delivering the firm’s wider strategic business plan
What our client is looking for:
  • A qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (likely 7+ PQE) with significant experience in commercial litigation
  • Experience handling corporate and shareholder disputes, contractual claims and business conflict resolution
  • A strong interest in leadership, client relationship management and team development
  • Ambition to progress to full Partnership (if not already at that level)
  • A following or proven track record in client development is highly desirable
