Methods is recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join our HR team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be hybrid working - London office 2 days per week and home based with travel around the UK as required.Methods is an established £100m Digital Transformation company, part of the Alten Group, which over the last 32 years has provided innovative business and digital technology services. We are responsible for and manage the entire employee life cycle with empathy and business know how.The HR Advisor is a new role and will form an integral part of the HR Team. This role is required to ensure our line managers are supported in managing their people effectively at an operational level. This role is pivotal to managing risk and ensuring managers feel supported dealing with people matters confidently.The post-holder is expected to operate as a subject matter expert in all matters ER, be open to and actively take part in managing conflict down and use a wide range of knowledge to resolve issues.The ideal candidate will have experience of managing conflict and minimising risk with experience of managing multiple issues in a fast-paced organisation.Key Tasks:
  • Successful management of all correspondence in relation to ER cases as required to ensure advice and guidance meets best practice and ACAS guidelines.
  • Providing monthly reporting to ensure that Portfolio HR meetings provide useful and actionable insight that can be turned into employee action plans
  • Provide both the quarterly and annual HR metrics report to the HRBP and Head of HR/People
  • Accountable for supporting line managers with key ER processes such as probation, investigation, performance, disciplinary and grievance, escalating where necessary to the Business Partner, this includes active case management of all cases within your remit
  • Provide consistent and concise advice in respect of occupational health and wider wellbeing provisions for our line managers and employees
  • Accountable for all HR project documentation, including but not limited to provision of packs, RAG status and escalation points
  • Provide consistent and up to date diversity and equity data, capable of being changed into actionable plans across the business
  • Build respected and consistent relations with our Line Managers that enable HR/People to continue to be the trusted advisor to the business
  • Accountable for providing a timely, final production of payroll each month for sign off by the COO. Working with the People Administrator to Ensure errors and corrections are escalated and resolved in an efficient and timely manner
  • Support the HR audit process by preparing documentation, and being physically present to run our auditors through the required areas
Responsibilities
  • Advise managers on all types of employee relations matters; working with our Employee Relations Policy and ACAS best practice to ensure the right and most appropriate approaches are used.

  • Manage all HR Inbox queries within your designated workstack as dictated by the Head of and Business Partner
  • Help to ensure a fair and consistent approach to the company’s policies, processes and procedures, whilst minimising risks.
  • Jointly processing and management of monthly payroll with the People Administrator in a timely and effective manner, maintaining accuracy of final reports from Engage ready for approval by Chief Operating Officer.
  • Deputise for the People Business Partner when necessary.
  • Support with various projects in the HR People Team
  • Research law and legislation when required and keep up to date with CPD
Knowledge & Skills
  • Generalist experience in an HR team or environment.
  • Previous experience managing ER cases to resolution.
  • A good practical understanding of MS Office.
  • A good base understanding of HR practices.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce an advantage

This role will require you to have or be willing to go through Security Clearance. As part of the onboarding process candidates will be asked to complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard; details of the evidence required to apply may be found on the government website Gov.UK.
