What You'll Do
- Design and implement secure Azure cloud architectures, following industry best practices.
- Create and support cloud security policies and procedures.
- Perform risk assessments and security reviews, contributing to the overall security strategy and roadmaps.
- Integrate security into our DevOps and application teams' workflows, making sure security is built into everything we do.
- Leverage Microsoft's security stack: You'll configure and manage tools like Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Defender for Endpoint, and Sentinel. You'll also set up information protection and compliance measures using Microsoft Purview, manage encryption keys in Azure Key Vault, and lead efforts with our SOC and managed Sentinel provider to respond to incidents.
- Focus on compliance: ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and NIS2 requirements. Support documentation, audits, insider risk management, and eDiscovery, and use metrics like Secure Score to drive continual improvement.
- Monitor and respond: Set up alerts and dashboards, participate in investigating security incidents, and help build the business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
What We're Looking ForSkills & Experience
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- At least 5 years in cloud security roles, including 3+ years focused on Microsoft Azure.
- Enterprise experience, ideally in regulated industries.
- Deep understanding of Azure security and Microsoft Defender tools.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Sentinel, Purview, Intune, and Defender for Endpoint.
- Hands-on experience with Entra ID/Active Directory, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management.
- Comfortable scripting with PowerShell and the Microsoft Graph API for automating security tasks.
- Proven knowledge of security compliance standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2).
- Familiarity with Azure firewalls, security and application groups, and endpoint management.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100), or actively working toward it
- At least one of: MS-500, SC-400, or SC-900
- Bonus points for CISSP, CISM, or CCSP certifications.
- Great communicator, able to explain complex issues to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to draft clear documentation and work both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Confident presenting recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.
