Based in London, our client is looking for an experienced data analyst to join their team as a Senior Analytics Consultant on a permanent and hybrid-working basis, with 2 days at home per week (Mon and Fri).This job would suit someone with at least 3 years' experience in data analytics using mainly SQL, with Python as well, with strong client facing skills and previous experience in driving commercial impact through the data on projects. This person will be responsible for delivering analytical and revenue management solutions within the hotel, holiday and travel sectors, with opportunities to lead both projects and product development.This company works with organisations to improve performance and decision-making by turning complex information into actionable insight. With experience across a range of industries, they help clients tackle operational and strategic challenges using a mix of technical know-how and practical business understanding. With recent success and growth having been seen within the hospitality sector, they are looking to expand the team due to the expansion of some key projects.The successful individual will have a strong data analytics background in a role where they are interpreting business data and interpreting how this affects the business and what can be ascertained from this. Excellent communication skills are a must due to the ongoing communications both internally and with external clients. Strong hands-on experience using SQL for multi-step/complex analytics is essential for this role. Experience in cloud platforms (GCP - BigQuery, Azure -Synapse, Snowflake) and exposure to data science tools/languages such as Python, dbt, D3, Github, GCP/AWS would be advantageous. (This is not a technical advanced data science role so advanced experience in these will not be relevant). Experience in the travel, hotel, holiday or related sectors is beneficial, but not essential and knowledge of revenue managementDuties will include:

Hands on analysis in commercially impactful topics around pricing, demand, web performance, impact of competitor actions, customer behaviour
Building data transformation pipelines to support analytics and modelling often over large datasets
Gathering project and requirements from clients/stakeholders and designing solutions/deliverables
Presenting project plans, deliverables & analysis to clients
Developing commercial analytics solutions in the travel sector
Building commercial credibility in Revenue Management, Competitor Insight and Customer Behaviour
Scaling and productising solutions in a multi-client environment
Working alongside software development team to help productionise tools in solutions
Reviewing & improving forecasting solutions and pipelines
