Quantity SurveyorLocation : Birmingham based with a minimum of 2 days in the officeEngagement : Inside IR35Rate : £400 - £450 per day depending on experienceThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a Main Contractor who specialises in civils, energy, and infrastructure.Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join them on a Civil Engineering, Substation site. This is a long-term contract, inside IR35, with the opportunity to move on to other upcoming projects.This company see their employees as their most important resource and encourage full involvement in order to develop their abilities for the benefit of the individual and company.Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role:
  • QSs prepare cost estimates and budgets for projects, considering materials, labour, and equipment.
  • They prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities, and evaluate tenders from contractors.
  • QSs manage contracts, including negotiation and administration of changes, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • They identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency without compromising
  • Monitor project costs, track expenditure, and implement cost control measures to stay within budget.
Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role:
  • NEC Options 3 or 4
  • Substation Experience Desired
