
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

- Perform a wide range of elective orthopaedic procedures, including:
- Primary hip and knee replacements
- Knee arthroscopy and carpal tunnel release
- Joint injections and aspirations
- Additional minor procedures based on your expertise
- Deliver exceptional care across the patient pathway – preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Support and supervise junior clinical staff
- Participate in audit, clinical governance, service improvement, and teaching
- Engage in continuing professional development and actively contribute to departmental meetings and strategic planning
- Demonstrated high-volume experience (e.g., 250+ primary hip/knee replacements or 500+ arthroscopic procedures over 3 years)
- Strong clinical outcomes backed by NJR or equivalent data
- Excellent theatre efficiency and patient care record
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
