What does the day of an Assistant Cook look like?Our Assistant Cooks are invaluable to our services and play a key role in supporting the Cook with the smooth running of the kitchen and preparing delicious meals for our residents:Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting the Cook to coordinate, prepare and serve nutritious meals
  • Working with the Cook to review menus
  • Ensure prepared food is of high quality and presentation
  • Adhere to individual dietary requirements and ensure adequate ingredients are readily available
  • Cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen area (floors, cookers, fridges, etc.)
  • Assisting with stock taking and the storage of goods, including checking deliveries
