Residential Support Worker

- A Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it)
- Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities, Autism, ADHD, complex needs, and associated behaviours
- An understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour support
- Relevant qualifications in youth work, social care, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to lead by example and engage positively with young people
- A patient, energetic, and compassionate approach
- A full UK driving licence and a clear Enhanced DBS (or willingness to complete one)
- A commitment to ongoing professional development (CPD)
- Providing consistent, caring support to help young people achieve their goals and develop independence
- Supporting daily routines, including meals, education, and recreational activities
- Building strong relationships to promote emotional, social, and physical development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and managing challenges using de-escalation strategies
- Maintaining accurate records, including reports, logs, and incident documentation
- Taking part in household tasks such as cooking and cleaning
- Promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of care
- £25,000–£30,000 depending on experience plus an additional £50 per sleep-in shift
- 28 days of annual leave (in lieu of bank holidays)
