Learning Support Assistant - SEND School (Exeter) Axcis Education are delighted to be working with a small, nurturing SEND school in Exeter that is looking to expand its team. We are seeking a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join a mixed-ability class of no more than 8 pupils. You will work closely alongside the class teacher to provide support, encouragement, and care for every child. This unique school supports around 120 students aged 6-18, many of whom are school refusers with EHCPs for SEMH needs, high anxiety, and autism. The children are highly vulnerable, and their wellbeing is at the heart of everything the school does. As such, we are looking for someone who is calm, resilient, and able to build trusting relationships in a safe and supportive environment. What we're looking for: Someone who is nurturing, patient, and adaptable to varied lessons across different ability levels A calm and approachable presence who can support children who may be withdrawn or anxious A love of the outdoors and a creative, positive attitude to engage pupils in learning A team player who can bring energy and commitment to a close-knit staff team Role details: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm Long-term position (consistency is vital for the pupils' progress) Pay rate: £86 - £96 per day Easily accessible by public transport (please note there is no on-site parking) This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need stability, encouragement, and understanding.
