Salary: £90 – £120 per day (depending on experience)About the Role:A well-regarded and inclusive school in Milton Keynes is looking to appoint a dedicated Autism (ASC) Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition across both classroom and 1:1 settings. - Support pupils with Autism in accessing the curriculum, developing social skills, and building independence
- Work alongside the class teacher to create and adapt resources and deliver engaging activities
- Implement strategies from Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Risk Assessments, and therapy programmes
- Foster positive and therapeutic relationships with students
- Collaborate with parents, SENCOs, and external agencies to provide consistent support
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to review meetings
- Experience working with children or young people with Autism or complex needs
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting behaviour and communication
- Strong understanding of SEN and a desire to learn and develop professionally
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
- Training in TEACCH, PECS, Team Teach, or positive handling (advantageous)
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Work within a well-supported, experienced SEN team
